Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 September 2026

This is how we handle your personal information. We keep it simple: we collect what we need to talk to you and run the mentorship, we don't sell it, and you can ask us what we hold at any time.

Who we are

The website simplifiedsparky.com and The Simplified Sparky Mentorship are run by Tradieology Pty Ltd (ABN 85 650 036 034), trading as Simplified Sparky, based in New South Wales, Australia ("we", "us"). We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Questions about privacy can be sent through the contact page.

What we collect

When you fill in the Join form we collect your first and last name, email address, mobile number, business name, state, what stage your business is at, and whatever you write in the message box.

When you become a member we also collect billing details through our payment provider (we never see or store your full card number), your Slack and Skool profile details, what you post inside the community, and recordings of live sessions you attend.

When you use the website we collect the usual technical stuff: IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and how you got here. See "Cookies and tracking" below.

When you email or message us we keep the conversation so we can reply and remember what we talked about.

We don't ask for, and don't want, sensitive information such as health, religion or political views. If you send it to us anyway, we will only keep it as part of the conversation it came in.

Why we collect it

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information, and we don't rent lists. We share it with the service providers that run the business for us, only to the extent they need it to do their job:

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of our members.

Overseas disclosure

Most of the providers above store data in the United States and other countries. Where we send information overseas we take reasonable steps to make sure the recipient handles it in a way that is consistent with Australian privacy law, usually through their own privacy commitments and contracts.

Cookies and tracking

The website uses cookies and similar tools for analytics and advertising, including the Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity and Google tools. These record things like the pages you visit and how you interact with them. Clarity may record anonymised session replays of how the page is used.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but some things like embedded videos may not.

Marketing

If you give us your email address, we may send you marketing emails about the mentorship, the podcast and related content. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and tell us to stop. We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

How we keep it safe

We use reputable providers with modern security, two-factor authentication on our accounts, and we limit who can see personal information to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise there will never be a breach. If one happens and it is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we might reasonably follow up with you. We keep member records for the length of your membership and then for as long as tax and legal rules require, usually seven years for financial records. When we no longer need information we delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through the contact page and we will respond within 30 days. We will need to confirm who you are first. There is no charge.

You can deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym for general questions, but not to join the mentorship, because we need to know who we are working with and who we are billing.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your information, email us first and give us a chance to fix it. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We update this policy when the way we work changes. The date at the top tells you when. Big changes will be flagged on the site or by email to members.
